Kirsty & David married at the amazing Lennoxlove House on 21st July 2012. This day was packed full of love and emotion and it was a real privilege to have been able to capture it. We worked alongside the great guys at Bluesky Photography. Check out the dancing the beginning!
Tell us about your day?
It was a day where everything that we could have planned and everything that we couldn’t plan went better than we ever dreamed. Everyone there seemed to be smiling, laughing and enjoying themselves, as proven in the video. It was a lovely mix of old friends and new, with family all in a setting which made it seem surreal. We wrote the ceremony ourselves (humanist) and weren’t sure how it would come across being read by someone else, but Juliet did a wonderful job and she had the room awash with emotion. After the speeches, which many people mentioned were a favourite part of the day, we danced into the night. The staff at Lennoxlove, the Bluesky Photography and Little Love Films, did what they do behind the scenes, without us having to think about anything. A perfect day with only fond memories.
Where did you find inspiration for your wedding?
I wouldn’t say we had specific inspiration. We’re were just trying to take the Scottish and Australian elements that means something to us both…the day just developed over time
Why did you choose you venue?
We didn’t think we would find the “perfect” venue and then we were recommended Lennoxlove. From the moment we went down the driveway, it was clear that it was an incredibly special place. A stunning historic building set in its own grounds with room for all the wedding party to stay. Ken and his team could not have been more helpful, relaxed but organised too – we truly felt like it was our home for the weekend.
Why did you use a wedding videographer for your wedding in Scotland?
We had been considering using a videographer for a long time but only made the final decision about 3 months before the wedding when we found Little Love Films. As Dave’s family are in Australia, many couldn’t make the wedding but this way we were able to share the day with them. I also felt that John really understood what we were looking for and loved the other videos he’d posted. On the day, John and his team were so discrete we barely noticed they were there and, as a result, they were able to get such natural shots.
What was your favourite part in your wedding highlight film?
It is really hard to pick a favourite element but overall I loved how he combined the music, vocal from the ceremony and speeches with the video. It just looks stunning and we are so happy with the finished result – both the highlight and the 30min version.
Any tips for future Brides and Grooms?
Take a moment, just the two of you, in the day. It flies past in the blink of an eye so make sure you just stop and savour it!

“We couldn’t be happier that we decided to go ahead with a videographer for our wedding and Little Love Films created a video we will treasure forever! The final edits blew us both away and regardless of how many times we watch it, it still reduce most of our families to happy tears – it captured the day in a way a photo cannot. John was so discrete when filming, we barely noticed he was there which meant he was able to capture the true spirit of the day. The final DVDs were beautifully presented and it meant so much to be able to share it with elderly relatives and family abroad who weren’t able to join us on the day. Thank you to Little Love Films, I’m certain my new husband and I will be enjoying watching your video for many, many years to come!!!”
